Q: What’s the difference between restoration and replacement?
A: Replacement means tearing off the existing roof before adding a new roofing material. Restoration means we add new material over your existing roof.
Q: Does restoration or replacement give me a better warranty?
A: Our restoration warranty is typically the same or better than replacement warranties.
Q: My insurance company gave me enough money to replace my roof. Should I replace or restore?
A: It depends. If you have major moisture saturation in your insulation, replacement may be necessary. Most times, restoration is better because the inside of your building is not exposed to the elements and debris from tear off.
Q: How long is your warranty?
A: Our warranties typically range from 10 to 18 years.
Q: Does your warranty actually mean anything?
A: Absolutely. It is non-prorated, which means your coverage is the same during the last year as during the first. Bottom line, you will not spend another penny on roof leaks for 10, 12, or even 18 years.
Q: Is your warranty claim process complicated?
A: No. One phone call, and we will be at your property to troubleshoot.
Q: Can my warranty be extended?
A: Yes, we can inspect, clean, and recoat your roof, giving you an additional 10, 12, or 18 years of coverage.
Q: Why do you use Conklin coatings?
A: Conklin coatings have been applied to over a billion square feet since 1976, proving them to be extremely durable. We have never had a “bad batch” of coatings from Conklin.
Q: Are Conklin coatings more expensive than other coatings?
A: Yes they are. If we weren’t concerned about quality, we could purchase other coatings at about half the cost.
Q: What is an elastomeric coating?
A: Elastomeric coatings contain a rubberizing compound that allows the coating to flex with the expansion and contractions of the roof.
Q: Do you use subcontractors for the actual installation?
A: Only for certain specialized parts of the process, such as spraying foam. Otherwise, we use only our excellent in-house crews.
Q: Do you do residential as well?
A: No, we do not.
Q: Are there any other benefits besides getting rid of leaks?
A: Yes! Our customers have noticed a substantial reduction in how much heat penetrates their buildings. This is because our coatings are highly reflective.
Q: Do you carry insurance?
A: Yes, we carry a minimum of $1,000,000 in general liability insurance.
Q: Are you bonded?
A: Yes we are bonded.
Q: Do you carry workers compensation?
A: Yes we do.
Q: Do we have to stop operations while you are repairing our roof?
A: No, you do not. We need some space to set up outside your building, and sometimes it is necessary to temporarily move vehicles away from the perimeter of the building while we are spraying. Operations inside the building can continue as usual.
Q: What do you need from us during the restoration?
A: Typically, we need water and a small amount of electricity. Most of our equipment is self-powered. Unless otherwise negotiated, we dispose of waste and garbage.
Q: Do you offer other systems besides the coating system for metal roofs?
A: Absolutely. We offer spray foam, fabric reinforced ply, and a terrific PVC membrane
